Job summary

Momentum Spine and Joint is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will perform administrative and clinical tasks under physician supervision, document vitals and patient information, and help maintain efficient patient flow while delivering high-quality care and patient experience.

The role requires strong communication skills, clinical procedure ability, and a collaborative approach to support physicians and patients.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Knowledge of patient care charts, histories, evaluation and triage.
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures per protocols.
• Ability to maintain organized systems for timely patient flow.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients consistent with clinic needs and records chief complaint, vitals, medications, allergies and visit reason.
• Documents patient vitals and keeps medical records up to date.
• Communicates status updates and changes to treatment plan.
• Maintains patient charts and ensures forms are complete and accurate.
• Keeps patients informed of delays and progress of appointments.
• Provides administrative support and performs routine clerical tasks.
• Prepares exam rooms with supplies and cleans between patients.
• Manages emails, calls, and inquiries and documents responses.
• Takes messages and provides feedback to patients, physicians, and pharmacy.
• Assists team and uses downtime efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
