Job summary

JWCH Institute, Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care in home and ambulatory settings under supervision of the Program Manager and clinicians. The role involves clinical support, documentation, and coordinating referrals.

Travel to patient residences, perform vital signs, labs, immunizations, venipuncture, and assist with scheduling and outreach while maintaining privacy and high-quality customer service in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience; community health preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently in field and in office.
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software.
• All JWCH, Wesley Health Centers workforce members recommended to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered support in home, ambulatory clinic settings.
• Travel to patient homes to assist with routine clinical tasks.
• Record vital signs and collect clinical data per policy.
• Perform lab tests and finger sticks after training.
• Administer immunizations and medications per provider order.
• Venipuncture and PPD skin testing as applicable.
• Maintain patient privacy and accurate documentation.
