Job summary

Harmony Healthcare Long Island in Roosevelt, NY seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams across multiple sites. You will take vital signs, assist with exams, and perform procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certification, CPR (BCLS), and bilingual English and Spanish/Creole. Shifts run Monday through Friday 8 AM–4 PM with one evening 12 PM–8 PM and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Basic CPR (BCLS) Certification is required.
• Two years of experience in health care preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient prep before clinical visits.
• Assists practitioners during examinations and procedures; e.g., dressing changes, Pap smears.
• Acts as translator for patients as needed.
• Take vital signs and perform routine tests and specimen collection.
