Job summary

Concentra in Katy, TX is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join the Physical Therapy Support team. You will assist with referrals, patient registration, scheduling, and front/back office duties, ensuring accurate records in the EMR and a welcoming experience.

The role requires a High School diploma, at least six months of referral management experience, and medical office experience preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus to support diverse patients and coordinate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least six months of referral management experience.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations for therapy treatments from clients or insurance carriers.
• Maintain records for active referrals using the referral module.
• Process referrals per state guidelines or client directions.
• Support Center Therapy Director and Therapists to enable focus on patient care.
• Schedule visits within the authorized limits and dates.
• Contact patients who miss or cancel appointments and document changes in EMR.
• Perform front office tasks including greeting patients and check-in/out.
