Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant at Privia Medical Group - Gulf Coast in Houston for a fast-paced clinic. You will greet patients, take vitals, assist with exams, perform injections and phlebotomy, triage calls, educate patients, manage flow and billing, schedule referrals, and maintain clean, sterile exam rooms while upholding HIPAA.

Requirements include 2+ years as a Medical Assistant (OB/GYN preferred), bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and Athena EMR experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant; OB/GYN experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Athena EMR experience is preferred.
• Skilled in identifying problems and recommending solutions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring their comfort.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
• Prepare patients for and assist physicians with exams and minor procedures.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy.
• Perform effective telephone triage by evaluating calls for emergencies.
• Provide clear and thorough patient education on health care concerns, medications, and procedures.
• Manage patient flow, verify demographic and insurance information, and collect co-pays and balances.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals.
• Ensure all exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and instruments are properly sterilized.
• Maintain accurate patient charting and uphold strict HIPAA guidelines.
