Job summary

El Proyecto Del Barrio is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians at the Baldwin Park Community Clinic in Baldwin Park, CA 91706. Under the direct supervision of the doctor or nurse, you will assist with patient care, prepare examinations, draw blood, administer injections, and help maintain a clean, organized back office.

The ideal candidate has back‑office experience in family practice, pediatrics, or OB/GYN, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and can start ASAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or related experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred or required per clinic policy.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood, give injections, administer skin tests, and obtain laboratory specimens.
• Prepare patients for doctor examinations.
• Set up necessary instruments.
• Take medical history and check vital signs.
• Schedule appointments.
• Update and maintain patient records.
• Monitor and maintain medical supply inventory.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
