Family Health Care Centers of Greater Los Angeles is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Back Office operations. The role assists patients, documents in EHR, performs point-of-care testing, and helps coordinate care under supervision of the Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate has CPR certification, a valid certificate, bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, FQHC experience is highly valued, and a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification required.
• Certificate required for position.
• FQHC experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and understand provider recommendations.
• Document patient information in EHR and coordinate care.
• Perform point-of-care glucose testing and other routine procedures.
• Obtain authorizations for services and ensure medical justification.
• Schedule tests and coordinate patient flow with the team.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and clean clinical areas.
