Job summary

TrueCare in California is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team serving San Diego/Riverside communities. You will interview patients, prepare exam rooms, and maintain sterile environments. The role requires EHR documentation, basic lab work, and assisting clinicians with procedures.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, plus at least one year of MA experience. Driving to other locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum One (1) year Medical Assistant work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical laboratory procedures and healthcare operations.
• Must have CA Driver's License for at least 3 years and willing to drive to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and confirm purpose of visit.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping rooms stocked, neat and clean.
• Sterilize instruments following sterilization guidelines and maintain logs.
• Record patients' medical history and vital signs in the EHR system.
• Assist medical staff in examining and treating patients, including injections and sutures.
• Perform various lab procedures including urine analysis, cultures, Hgb, lead levels and EKGs.
• Schedule appointments and handle front desk duties; refer calls to medical staff as needed.
