Job summary

University of California San Diego Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a per diem float position. Under direct supervision, you will perform patient care duties across clinics, including scheduling appointments and assisting with administrative tasks.

You must be a CMA or complete an MA program, hold BART or BLS at hire with a plan to obtain BART within six months, and demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology. You may travel to North County and other San Diego sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
• BART or BLS at hire with commitment to get BART within six months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties under supervision.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage scheduling screens.
• Assist with accurate billing and environmental care functions.
• Travel/float to North County and additional clinics throughout San Diego as needed.
