Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a diverse care team and provide high-quality health services to our patient population.

You will assist providers with procedures, take vitals, perform phlebotomy, administer vaccines, and help patients with scheduling and records, while receiving extensive training in Epic and care delivery processes.

Qualifications

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram.
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship
• Basic proficiency withEMR (Epic preferred)
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
• Bilingual English/Spanish
