Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant in Orlando, FL to provide essential patient and administrative care. Responsibilities include performing clinical tasks, maintaining examination rooms, and collaborating with healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate will have MA training or experience and be bilingual in English/Spanish. Monday to Friday working hours are scheduled for 40 hours per week, with a salary range of $43,000 - $56,200 per year.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
  • CPR Certified.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in coding, CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish – must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication.
  • Will be screened for TB.

As a Medical Assistant, reporting to Manager, Central Administration, you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. You will typically work on semi‑routine assignments.

Medical Assistant Job Functions
  • Perform clinical responsibilities including discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines.
  • Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
  • Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information in the electronic medical records system.
  • Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Deliver direct patient care dependent on active certification.
  • Make decisions that typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
  • Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, while having latitude over prioritization/timing.
  • Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.

  • Medication/vaccine administration experience.
  • 1+ year Medical Assistant experience.
  • Hands‑on professional phlebotomy experience.
  • Value‑Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Scheduled 40 hours per week.

Travel

Local travel may be required; mileage reimbursed.

Pay Range

$43,000 - $56,200 per year. Eligible for bonus incentive plan.
