Job summary

Samsung E&C America, Inc. seeks a Materials Inspector for a state-of-the-art semiconductor FAB construction project in Taylor, TX. You will manage material inspection control, attend inspections, review MTRs/CoCs/MTCs, and coordinate with 3rd parties to resolve quality issues.

You will prepare MIRs, maintain inspection logs, upload data into CPMS, and support NCR processes while collaborating with QA/QC and client representatives on-site.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and thorough documentation/reporting skills.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience on semiconductor or high-tech industrial construction projects preferred.
• Familiar with Samsung QA/QC system and reporting procedures preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct material inspections for delivered and installed items per submittals and specs.
• Review Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Compliance (CoC), and Mill Test Certificates (MTC).
• Coordinate sampling and testing with 3rd party.
• Prepare and submit Material Inspection Reports (MIRs) for QA/QC Manager and client approval.
• Maintain inspection result logs with pass/fail, remarks, and corrective actions.
• Upload inspection data into CPMS accurately and timely.
• Monitor material storage, handling, and labeling on-site.
• Support NCR issuance, follow-up, and closure processes.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team, contractors, and client representatives.
