Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a motivated LVN PAT at the Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Center North Freeway. The Preadmission Nurse will organize and direct patient preadmission activities and provide teaching to patients and families.

The LVN may perform preadmission assessments, verify orders, and deliver care consistent with nursing standards. Bilingual English/Spanish required for patient population, with SDOH and safety considerations at the center in Houston.

Qualifications

• Current Texas LVN license and active certification.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Hospital setting experience required, minimum 2 years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepared for the preadmission of the patient.
• Meets all required deadlines and sets priorities.
• Delivers direct and indirect patient care following standards.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Maintains patient advocacy and communicates interventions to team.
• Performs admission assessments and ongoing reassessments with documentation.
• Ensures nursing interventions and responses are documented per policy.
• Integrates care across settings and disciplines.
• Implements physician orders safely and effectively.
• Maintains or pursues required certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS).
• Documents records and maintains patient confidentiality in AdvantX.
• Assists with policy updates and operational tasks as needed.
• Treats stressful situations calmly and provides patient/parent teaching.
• Performs additional duties as needed by the department.
