Qualifications

• Active IL LPN or LVN license
• CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate with Center Physician for emergencies and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER; follow EHS guidance.
