Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Logistics Operator in Cerritos, CA. The role supports import operations and global logistics, coordinating ocean, air, and trucking freight with carriers and 3PLs, while ensuring SOP compliance and strong customer service.

The position requires 1+ years in freight forwarding or logistics, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Bilingual (Chinese or Vietnamese) is required. 8:30–5:30 schedule, 27 USD/hr W2.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience in freight forwarding or logistics (Ocean import) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to learn logistics operations quickly.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate openly and effectively.
• Works well under pressure with a sense of urgency.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Outlook and Microsoft Office applications (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).

Responsibilities

• Strong customer orientation and strong negotiating skills.
• Background in import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance.
• Coordinate ocean, air and trucking freight with carriers, 3rd party logistics providers.
• Manage and support fulfillment & distribution activities.
• SOP/Work Instructions maintenance and ensure SOP compliance with customer requirements.
• Build relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve freight issues.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and support improvements.
• Continuously evaluate logistics processes to improve efficiency and support growth.
