Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Coordinator IV Secondary Literacy - Bilingual/ESL to lead literacy curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning for grades 6–12. You will ensure HQIM use, strong lesson design, and multilingual learner support with ESL certification expertise.

The role collaborates with campuses, teachers, and district staff to design curriculum and provide direct instructional support, while aligning with the FWISD Instructional Framework and priorities.

Qualifications

• 3 years middle/high school literacy teaching experience with focus on improving student achievement.
• Experience designing and delivering HQIM and instructional materials.
• Experience facilitating professional learning and coaching teachers.

Responsibilities

• Designs HQIM-aligned lessons for core and ESL-supported programs.
• Evaluates and supports adoption of effective instructional resources.
• Develops districtwide professional learning plans from data trends.
• Builds capacity of campus leaders and teachers to implement HQIM with fidelity.
• Delivers instructional support, assessments, and professional learning for stakeholders.
• Leads train-the-trainer efforts for campus and district professional learning.
• Provides on-site PD in collaboration with School Leadership as needed.
• Supports planning and delivery of standards-based lessons aligned to HQIM.
• Collaborates with Content Coordinators to share best practices.
