Job summary

Pima County Public Library in Tucson is seeking a Library Technical Assistant Supervisor for Woods Memorial Library. You will supervise, train, and evaluate staff; oversee circulation and desk operations; and ensure accuracy of collections and databases.

Spanish-speaking skills are preferred, and evening/weekend hours apply. You will provide direct customer service to patrons of all ages, participate in meetings, and travel between library locations as needed to support services and programs

Qualifications

• Associate degree in library technology or library science plus 1 year of circulation desk experience.
• Alternative: 2 years high-volume customer service or circulation desk experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred and strongly indicated.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff; implement performance plans.
• Hire, train, and direct circulation staff and oversee desk operations.
• Oversee circulation desk, cataloging, and financial transactions per policy.
• Provide customer service to English- and Spanish-speaking patrons.
