Farmers Branch Manske Library is seeking a Library Associate 3 who works 30 hours per week to support circulation tasks and bilingual children’s programming in English and Spanish.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, organization, and the creation of engaging programs for a diverse community. The position includes planning, outreach, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication in both languages.
• Experience in libraries, customer service, or with children is preferred.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills for young audiences.
• Ability to work a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Proficiency with library catalog systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide readers advisory services and assist with circulation desk duties.
• Plan, develop, and deliver bilingual children’s programming and story times.
• Promote library programs through outreach with schools and community groups.
• Create promotional materials and social media posts to boost attendance.
• Ensure compliance with library policies and protect patron privacy.
