Job summary

Responsibilities

• Issues, verifies, and renews library cards for customers
• Informs customers of account status and answers basic questions
• Resolves customer concerns by phone, in person, or by email
• Refers customer concerns to the appropriate staff member or supervisor as necessary
• Initiates search for materials claimed “returned”
• Processes library materials for shelving and routing
• Performs opening or closing duties as assigned
• Assists with the maintenance and display of the collection
• Assists customers with the use of a self-service payment kiosk
