Job summary

Pima County's Joel D. Valdez Main Library is seeking a part-time Librarian to assist patrons, answer questions, and deliver information services to diverse customers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field and at least two years' experience in libraries, education, or social services. Preferred qualifications include a MLIS, bilingual English/Spanish, teamwork, program development, and tech proficiency with library systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Library Science or related field; two years in libraries, education, or similar fields.
• Relevant education/experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons by finding information and using the library catalog, technology, and equipment.
• Develop, facilitate, and present educational programs and services for various populations.
• Supervise volunteers and interns; schedule, mentor, and evaluate performance.
