JP Management LLC is seeking a Leasing Agent in Hackensack, NJ to show apartments, screen applicants, process applications, and support renewals. Training provided in a two-week program during regular business hours.

Weekend availability for open houses is required; solid customer-service and bilingual English/Spanish skills are essential. You will record prospective tenants, advertise units, and analyze market trends to stay competitive.

Qualifications

• Customer-service oriented with sales or property management experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong time management and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high call volumes.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and determine their rental needs.
• Follow up with leads via phone and email.
• Record applicant details in Rent Manager quickly.
• Advertise units and conduct property tours.
• Pre-screen applicants for eligibility.
• Process applications (credit checks, rental history) for approval.
• Prepare lease agreements within 3 days of approval.
• Inspect units and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure move-in readiness on agreed date.
• Follow up with non-closers and refer to other properties.
• Research local market trends for pricing and amenities.
• Assist with lease renewals with property team.
• Provide feedback to managers from tours.
• Maintain online presence with tenant reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
