Job summary

CARECEN is seeking a full-time, bilingual Labor Rights Organizer (Outreach) in Los Angeles to lead Know Your Rights workshops, outreach to immigrant workers, and referrals to social services. The role reports to the Director of Organizing and Programs and works with the Labor Center Coordinator across LA County.

Responsibilities include developing outreach, coordinating education in English/Spanish, and supporting rapid response with community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Two years of community college coursework or equivalent, with experience serving immigrants.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Supports workers rights campaigns, rapid response activities, and outreach.
• Provides Know Your Rights education in English and Spanish to workers.
• Refer workers to social services and immigration legal assistance.
• Coordinate with rapid response for cases needing support and case management.
• Prepare monthly reports on workshops, attendance, and referrals.
• Occasionally work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Collaborate with organizing and legal teams to expand defense strategies.
• Create and distribute advocacy materials for workers and community members.
