Job summary

CARECEN seeks a bilingual Staff Attorney, Law School Graduate, or Accredited Representative for its affirmative services unit in Los Angeles. The role focuses on providing comprehensive support to immigration cases as part of holistic advocacy, including naturalization, family petitions, SIJS, and TPS, among others.

The position requires California licensure or DOJ accreditation, strong case management, and the ability to work in a hybrid LA office environment with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• California licensed attorney or DOJ Accredited Representative preferred.
• Juris Doctor or Bachelor's Degree required.
• Knowledge of immigration system or related humanitarian relief.
• Trauma-informed case management knowledge recommended.
• Commitment to immigrants and underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review client intakes for immigration relief.
• Prepare immigration cases before USCIS, EOIR, or other agencies.
• Provide records review, case management, and client access to services.
• Liaise with service providers and legal dept for client support.
• Develop and maintain client case management systems and data reporting.
• Assist with closing cases and training staff on relevant themes.
• Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes affecting CARECEN clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
