Job summary

Advancing People Ltd. is seeking a fluent Chinese-speaking Logistics Manager in the Los Angeles area who can relocate if needed. The role oversees warehouses, inland trucking, cross-border delivery, and last-mile distribution while managing vendors and keeping a close eye on costs.

Candidates should be experienced in U.S. logistics, possess English and Chinese proficiency for negotiations and communications, and be capable of generating formal operation reports using Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience in U.S. logistics with LA ports preferred.
• Proficient in English and Chinese for negotiations and on-site communications.
• Able to generate operation reports and data ledgers using Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational management of warehouses in the Los Angeles area, inland trucking, cross-border delivery, and last-mile distribution.
• Develop logistics scheduling and routing plans, optimize trucking routes, and control transportation and warehousing costs.
• Manage third-party vendors including trucking companies, warehousing service providers, and customs brokers; conduct supplier performance reviews and negotiations.
• Track cargo movement through all logistics nodes; promptly handle delays, damages, losses, and customs holds to ensure on-time delivery.
• Establish and improve logistics SOPs, inventory policies, and inspection standards; supervise teams to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with domestic HQ, overseas clients, and partners; report operational data and risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Control the monthly logistics budget and perform cost accounting with initiatives for cost reduction.
