Job summary

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries is seeking a bilingual Program Coordinator/Claim Processor for the Claims Administration unit in Insurance Services. The role requires English and Spanish fluency and involves processing routine claim actions, documenting activities, and assisting claim managers.

The position is in-office with six months of classroom training in Tumwater, WA. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, Excel knowledge, and experience in a state claims

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in the program specialty.
• Ability to keyboard at least 40 words per minute with a 5-minute test.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Correspond in English and Spanish with customers via phone calls and written communication.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve questions by reviewing claim file information.
• Issue payments for the first three days of time loss as directed by the claim manager.
• Review and process mail and update claim files.
• Perform file reviews to highlight key information for adjudication.
