Working with editors and reporters, you will write, edit, translate, and publish content in both English and Spanish to deliver accurate, inclusive coverage for the local community.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Basic research, fact-checking, and information verification abilities.
• Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit content for accuracy, clarity, tone, and style across English and Spanish.
• Translate complex information into clear, accessible pieces.
• Fact-check articles, dates, sources, and statistics.
• Adapt content for print, newsletters, social media, and website.
• Write newsroom coverage on local meetings, interviews, and events.
• Attend team meetings and coordinate with contributors and editors.
• Maintain organized records of assignments, sources, and materials.
