Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking a highly qualified Bilingual Intervention Specialist for Columbus Bilingual Academy North in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on supporting students with IEPs and promoting rigorous, nurturing learning environments.

The candidate will lead diagnostic and behavioral assessments, plan interventions, and write IEP goals while communicating regularly with families. Strong collaboration, organization, and bilingual capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or co-teaching in a resource room.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass federal/state background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students, especially those with IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers to interpret student abilities and adjust interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals.
• Engage families about student growth.
• Plan non-instructional activities and field trips as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
