ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Columbus Bilingual West, Columbus, OH. This role focuses on supporting students with IEPs, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teachers to implement individualized interventions.

The ideal candidate will work in a high-engagement, inclusive setting with strong family communication. Columbus Bilingual West serves EK-6th grade and emphasizes Spanish instruction and bilingual programming within ACCEL Schools’ public charter network,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full-room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and related Office tools.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with teachers to interpret abilities and plan interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Lead IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Work toward student achievement, culture, and state goals.
• Apply research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a set of students and communicate with families.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
