Job summary

FITS is seeking an instrumentation specialist to calibrate, design, install and support control systems across process and utility equipment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish), with GMP exposure and a strong background in calibration, maintenance, and project management.

You will develop training, maintain SOPs, and lead validation activities while ensuring cGMP compliance and quality across facilities in the US island regions and Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with GMP exposure.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with calibrations and maintenance of instrumentation.
• Project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
• Maintain an up-to-date spare parts inventory system for equipment.
• Ensure calibration paperwork, instrument files and work orders are complete.
• Evaluate calibration cycles and optimize the program.
• Develop and maintain a training program for the team.
• Revise and review SOPs for related areas.
• Design, install, configure, and start-up instruments and controllers.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software for process control systems.
• Maintain cGMP training book and update diagrams.
• Complete PLC, DCS, BMS, and MMI programming and troubleshooting.
• Start-up new equipment to meet design specs.
• Assist with validation documents for instrumentation equipment.
