Job summary

Horizons for Homeless Children in Boston seeks a Teacher Infant and Toddler‑Bilingual English and Spanish to oversee classroom activities and implement a structured, age‑appropriate curriculum for children experiencing homelessness.

The role requires EEC Teacher Certification, 9–12 months of experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Onsite work, 40 hours/week, with strong teamwork and family‑centered collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• EEC Teacher Certification is required.
• 9 months to 1 year or more of relevant work experience.
• 12 ECE credits minimum preferred for EHS and HS classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Display knowledge of early childhood development and implement a dynamic curriculum.
• Maintain PQ registry and the required 20 hours of professional development annually.
• Communicate with children and parents daily about development and activities.
• Complete progress reports and participate in parent conferences.
• Collaborate with Family Advocates to support healthy family relationships.
• Maintain health and safety standards and manage classroom schedules.
