Job summary

Horizons for Homeless Children in Roxbury, MA, seeks a Teacher Infant and Toddler to implement a dynamic, multi-cultural curriculum and supervise children in a caring classroom setting.

The role requires EEC Teacher Certification, 9–12 months of relevant experience, 12 ECE credits minimum, and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field; it is a full-time onsite position with a $3,000 hiring bonus for certified teachers.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Clear written and verbal communication; team approach.
• Experience supporting families, especially homeless or multi-ethnic urban.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform classroom admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise infants/toddlers and implement daily curriculum.
• Display age-appropriate, multi-cultural activities.
• Inform parents about curriculum and progress.
• Complete progress reports and attend parent conferences.
• Coordinate with Family Advocates to promote healthy family relationships.
• Maintain health and safety standards in the classroom.
• Submit records and reports timely (attendance, accidents, progress).
