Job summary

Inspired Living Inc. seeks an ILS Instructor to deliver Independent Living Services to adults with disabilities across Contra Costa County. You will work one-on-one with a small number of clients, teaching chosen skills in their homes or in the community, rather than caregiving.

Sessions are client-led and skill-building is incremental. The role emphasizes independence, clear documentation, reliable scheduling, and safe transportation of clients to activities, with opportunities to participate

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
At least six months of paid or volunteer experience supporting people with disabilities, or comparable human services experience.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, spoken and written.
Spanish proficiency preferred; required for some client assignments.
Valid California driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and current registration and insurance.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it before your first client session.

Responsibilities

Work independently and manage the session, your time, and judgment in the moment.
Document every session with accurate service notes and timesheets.
Show up consistently and maintain scheduling reliability.
Drive and transport clients to activities and appointments when authorized.
Communicate promptly any changes, concerns, or incidents to your ILS Manager.
