Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Lehigh County Assistance Office seeks an Income Maintenance Caseworker to guide applicants through programs that promote stability. You will interview clients, determine eligibility for Medicaid, SNAP, and other supports, and explain complex rules in English and Spanish.

After completing IMSTP training, you’ll work in an office setting with possible part-time telework. The role requires reading, writing, and speaking Spanish, and residency in Pennsylvania is

Qualifications

• Four years of interviewing or data analysis experience or a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination.
• Spanish reading/writing required; must pass proficiency evaluation if selected.
• PA residency requirement with potential Lehigh County preference.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility Review: evaluate applications and determine eligibility for programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, and other supports.
• Customer Interviews: conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather information.
• Policy Application: interpret and apply state and federal regulations to ensure accurate decisions.
• Data Entry: enter information into automated systems and perform calculations.
• Case Documentation: write clear case comments to reflect changes and decisions.
• Deadline Management: complete work within established timeframes.
