Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker for the Northumberland County Assistance Office in Sunbury, PA. The role requires bilingual Spanish/English communication to assist customers, staff, and the public with clear guidance and timely casework.

After completing an IMSTP training, you will perform eligibility reviews for programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, and more, while documenting decisions and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in interviewing or work requiring the analysis and interpretation of data.
• Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility Review: Evaluate applications and determine eligibility for programs such as financial assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, Nursing Home Care, and Waivers
• Customer Interviews: Conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather information and understand customer circumstances
• Policy Application: Interpret and apply state and federal regulations to ensure accurate case decisions
• Data Entry: Enter information into automated systems and perform manual calculations for case processing
• Case Documentation: Write clear and thorough case comments to record changes and document decisions
• Deadline Management: Complete all assigned work within required timeframes and established procedures
