Job summary

Thoronka Law Offices is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) immigration paralegal for in-person, full-time work in Maryland. You will handle EOIR and USCIS cases, draft motions and documents, and maintain organized client files while coordinating with attorneys to prepare for hearings and filings.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of immigration paralegal experience, strong knowledge of forms and deadlines, and excellent communication skills to interact with clients and government agencies.

Qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) immigration paralegal with experience handling cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping individuals in immigration matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents with EOIR and USCIS.
• Draft motions, affidavits, declarations, and legal correspondence.
• Maintain and organize client case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Conduct legal research and compile supporting documentation for cases.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide case updates, and ensure timely submission of required documents.
• Coordinate with attorneys to support case strategy and preparation for hearings, interviews, and filings.
• Monitor case status and follow up with government agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an immigration paralegal, with specific experience in EOIR and USCIS cases.
