Job summary

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., seeks a Case Management Supervisor to oversee four to five case managers serving immigrants in proceedings, including unaccompanied immigrant children and adults in federal custody. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
• Four to six years of case management experience or equivalent of education and experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish or Mesoamerican.
• Counseling and assessment techniques.
• Principles and practices of organization and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversees case management services. Supervises, assigns, plans and evaluates work of assigned caseworkers.
• Reviews and approves reports and any needed paperwork, submits detailed and thorough documentation in compliance with policies, and prepares required reports in a timely manner.
• Works cooperatively with Holistic Services Director and Program Director.
• Ensure staff are providing services in compliance with policies and procedures, and that staff are also in compliance with CCLA policies and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive intakes to clients to assess needs, goals, communicate expectations of the program and establish a strong, supportive relationship with the client.
• Interviews and evaluates applicants for services, and assesses and identifies needs and abilities of clients.
• As necessary and with supervisor approval, conduct in-home/house visits with clients to assess placement needs, verify strategic goals and deliverables for each client.
• Assesses and identifies needs and abilities of clients.
• Works with other agencies to ensure clients receive all needed services. Links clients to existing agencies and community resources, including advocacy.
• Records client-related information and compiles monthly statistics of services provided.
• Provide information and referrals that are culturally and financially appropriate to assist clients in maintaining basic needs and reaching self-sufficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date programmatic knowledge, data of all services involving Esperanza clients.
• Displays sensitivity to the client population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Performs related duties as required.
