Job summary

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., is seeking a Case Management Supervisor to oversee a team of case managers serving immigrants in Southern California. The role includes direct caseloads and leadership responsibilities within a nonprofit law‑firm environment.

Responsibilities include supervision, documentation, and collaboration with program leadership to ensure compliant service delivery and comprehensive client support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of case management experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish or Mesoamerican.

  • Reviews and approves reports and any needed paperwork, submits detailed and thorough documentation in compliance with policies, and prepares required reports in a timely manner.

  • Ensure staff are providing services in compliance with policies and procedures, and that staff are also in compliance with CCLA policies and procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive intakes to clients to assess needs, goals, communicate expectations of the program and establish a strong, supportive relationship with the client.
  • Interviews and evaluates applicants for services, and assesses and identifies needs and abilities of clients.
  • As necessary and with supervisor approval, conduct in-home/house visits with clients to assess placement needs, verify strategic goals and deliverables for each client.
  • Assesses and identifies needs and abilities of clients.
  • Works with other agencies to ensure clients receive all needed services. Links clients to existing agencies and community resources, including advocacy.
  • Records client-related information and compiles monthly statistics of services provided.
  • Provide information and referrals that are culturally and financially appropriate to assist clients in maintaining basic needs and reaching self‑sufficiency.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date programmatic knowledge, data of all services involving Esperanza clients.
  • Displays sensitivity to the client population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., is a non‑profit law firm which provides community education and legal representation to immigrant adults, families, unaccompanied minors, individuals with mental health issues, and in cases involving crimmigration. Esperanza has proudly provided legal services to immigrants and their families in Southern California for over 15 years. More information is available at www.esperanza-la.org .

The Case Management Supervisor [JG4.1]is responsible for supervising four to five case managers who provide case management services to individuals in immigration proceedings, including [JG5.1]unaccompanied immigrant children released from federal custody, and adults currently in and released from federal custody[JG6.1]. This position will also personally carry an appropriate caseload.

Responsibilities:
