Job summary

Voces De La Frontera in Milwaukee seeks an Immigration Attorney to expand legal services for immigrant and refugee communities, including Know Your Rights trainings, asylum rights education, citizenship clinics, and one-on-one pro bono consultations.

The attorney will train staff and volunteers, supervise law students and paralegals, coordinate with pro bono partners, conduct legal research, and contribute to policy efforts across statewide chapters.

Qualifications

J.D. required.
English and Spanish fluency required.
Minimum of 2 years of immigration legal services experience.
Immigration court experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Train staff and volunteers to screen and prepare immigration applications and increase pro bono capacity.
Review cases to identify those for trained volunteers and those needing referral or representation.
Coordinate with a network of pro bono attorneys and legal clinic partners.
Train attorneys, volunteers, and staff for large-scale immigration clinics.
Supervise law students, paralegals, legal fellows, and support staff.
Provide ongoing staff training regarding immigration benefit eligibility assessments.
Conduct legal research and monitor developments in immigration law.
Contribute to Know Your Rights trainings and community education materials.
Support policy initiatives and advocacy aligned with Voces’ mission.
