Job summary

Voces de la Frontera in Milwaukee, WI seeks a dedicated organizer to support the Interfaith Movement outreach and immigrant justice campaigns. The role focuses on building relationships with faith communities, mobilizing volunteers, and coordinating liaisons between congregations and Voces services.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, organizing meetings, and delivering monthly reports to the C3 board. Strong bilingual communication and nonprofit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relationship-based organizing, leadership development, and team building.
  • Strong knowledge of VAN preferred; digital organizing a plus.
  • Experience in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and build relationships with communities of faith.
  • Follow up with congregations to reinforce commitments and recruit new sign-ons.
  • Maintain a centralized directory of religious contacts made by Voces organizers.
  • Host meetings with church committees on Voces campaigns.
  • Mobilize the faith community on Voces social justice issues.
  • Recruit, organize and develop Voces members to liaise between Voces and congregations.
