Job summary

Voces de la Frontera invites applications for a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator in Milwaukee, WI. This role leads volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, placement, and retention, partnering with staff to build sustainable volunteer opportunities across campaigns, community defense, and events.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in volunteer coordination, fluency in English and Spanish, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community organizing, program coordination, leadership development, project management, or a related field.
• Experience developing systems, improving workflows, or building a program or initiative is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a nonprofit, advocacy, community-based, labor, immigrant-rights, or mission-driven organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive volunteer engagement program aligned with the organization’s mission and priorities.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, placement, training, and retention of volunteers.
• Build pathways for volunteer leadership and deeper engagement across campaigns and events.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to support large mobilizations and ambassador programs.
• Maintain volunteer records, track outcomes, and produce regular impact reports.
