Job summary

Women In Need, Inc. (Win) in New York City seeks a Family Navigator to support immigrant, asylum-seeking, and migrant families through the LEAD Program.

You will guide families through immigration processes, connect to resources, and collaborate with legal service providers to build stability in a fast-paced urban environment. You will be bilingual in English and Spanish, obtain a NY LMSW or LMHC within 90 days, and engage with housing, education, and employment resources while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required by role.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and case management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide immigrant families through immigration-related processes and connect them to benefits.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop service plans.
• Coordinate with legal service providers and attorneys for asylum-seeking families.
• Identify eligible families for LEAD services and conduct outreach.
• Assist with housing, education, employment and community referrals.
• Collaborate with housing staff to support stability and service delivery.
• Use motivational interviewing and family-centered approaches.
