Job summary

Women In Need (Win) is seeking a Housing Services Coordinator to support families in shelter by coordinating housing services for successful placements in line with WIN and contract requirements.

You will build partnerships with brokers/landlords, guide subsidy applications, arrange viewings, and coordinate housing fairs and workshops, while collaborating with Case Managers on permanent housing strategies. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2+ years relevant experience or associate’s degree with 4+ years directly related experience.
• Deep knowledge of the New York City housing market, including subsidies and supportive housing programs.
• Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with brokers, landlords and housing stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills; professional demeanor.
• Flexible and willing to travel to housing sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the permanent housing search for shelter families by coordinating housing services activities.
• Guide families through housing subsidy applications and provide information about resources.
• Develop partnerships with real estate brokers and landlords to access housing options.
• Arrange apartment viewings, escort to viewings and assist with housing applications.
• Coordinate housing fairs, events and housing workshops for clients.
• Collaborate with Case Managers to develop permanent housing strategies.
• Facilitate group meetings with new arrivals to discuss subsidies and responsibilities.
