Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner to own payroll across affiliated entities and serve as the lead HR advisor to executives and operations. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency and hands-on payroll expertise, including Paylocity experience and knowledge of prevailing-wage rules.

The position is full-time and onsite at the corporate office in Cerritos, CA, offering a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive compensation range.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish, with ability to handle sensitive HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance information.
• Hands-on end-to-end ownership of payroll for a multi‑site workforce.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Leadership, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and HR operations.
• Prior experience with Paylocity payroll and HRIS functionality is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting transportation, trucking, logistics, or distributed workforce is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete payroll lifecycle across multiple entities, including preparation, review, validation, execution, and reconciliation.
• Administer payroll through Paylocity and maintain accurate employee data, earnings, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping.
• Coordinate payroll inputs across entities and enforce deadlines and approval controls.
• Advise executives on employee relations, workforce planning, and policy application.
• Lead workplace investigations and guide managers through corrective actions and documented processes.
• Maintain knowledge of California and federal employment requirements and recordkeeping obligations.
