Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a professional HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations onsite across Oakland/Hayward, CA. You will handle employee records, recruiting, onboarding, and compliance for a ~200-employee organization, serving as the sole HR resource.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR/Business/PSY and 3+ years of HR experience, with fluent English and Spanish. California employment laws knowledge and strict confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience preferred.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish (required).
• Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidential employee personnel files, HR records, and databases.
• Coordinate recruiting, including postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, references, and hiring docs.
• Manage onboarding activities, orientations, new hire paperwork, and compliance documents.
• Serve as primary HR contact for policies, procedures, and employment matters.
• Coordinate employee scheduling, meetings, training sessions, and HR calendars.
• Design, track, and administer employee training and safety programs, and professional development initiatives.
• Maintain employment documentation, acknowledgments, certifications, and compliance records.
• Assist with payroll-related documentation, workers' compensation matters, leaves of absence, and other HR admin tasks.
• Prepare HR reports and support management with employee relations and performance initiatives.
• Perform other HR and admin duties as assigned.
