Job summary

K1 Packaging Group is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations and help deliver consistent employee experiences. This onsite role in Ontario, CA supports payroll coordination, recruiting, and onboarding administration. It is a temp-to-perm position reviewed after 6 months.

You will handle payroll entries, maintain employee records, and assist with audits while coordinating interviews and background checks. Travel is limited to Southern CA as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish with strong written and verbal communication.
• 2–3 years of HR administration/coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle ADP payroll entries and processing for salaried and hourly bi-weekly payroll.
• Support compliance by maintaining up-to-date employee records and assisting with audits.
• Post job openings on internal job boards.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews among candidates, hiring managers, and the interview team.
• Initiate and track background checks, and update candidates after clearance.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and communication logs.
• Provide recruitment support for hourly positions as needed.
• Collaborate with the Human Resources Generalist to prepare materials for new hire orientation.
• Schedule orientation sessions and ensure calendar invites are sent.
• Support onboarding by organizing documentation and ensuring compliance.
• Deliver administrative and operational support, including filing, document management, and data entry.
• Respond to employee inquiries about policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist with conflict resolution.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and HR events.
