Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR operations, payroll governance, and employment compliance across affiliated entities.

Reporting to the COO with a dotted line to the CFO, this role ensures payroll integrity and timely processing using Paylocity when needed. The ideal candidate will have strong California employment-law knowledge, executive-level communication, and experience in employee relations, investigations, performance

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (bilingual) for investigations, policy discussions, and daily HR duties.
• Hands-on payroll experience with ability to run payroll in Paylocity when needed.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; 7+ years HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of California wage-and-hour, leaves, and compliance requirements.
• Experience establishing payroll controls and HRIS workflows; multi-entity payroll experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll governance and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll across all entities.
• Direct the Payroll & Benefits Administrator and assigned support personnel.
• Maintain hands-on proficiency with Paylocity and payroll processing when necessary.
• Oversee prevailing-wage and certified-payroll compliance and reporting.
• Advise executives on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Oversee HRIS governance, benefits administration, and payroll data reporting.
