Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking an HR Assistant to support the on-site HR Manager with confidential HR functions, records, and general office duties. The role helps employees with inquiries and ensures plant-level policies align with Crown’s mission, vision, and values.

Key duties include payroll support, recruitment and onboarding for non-exempt and production staff, and HRIS maintenance. This position operates within a production plant environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communications required (verbal & written).
• 1+ years HR or administrative support experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• SHRM or HRCI certification encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll, recruitment, retention, and benefits administration.
• Support onboarding for non-exempt and production staff, students, and temporary employees; assist with career fairs as needed.
• Maintain HR records, reports, and HRIS data.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and other required meetings.
• Provide payroll support and temporary staffing agency payroll reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
