Job summary

Community Action of Washington County seeks a Housing Stability Resource Navigator/Liaison to perform comprehensive assessments and provide crisis intervention for low-income households. Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years in eligibility determination.
• Must be fully bilingual (Spanish) in spoken and written form.
• Proven experience de-escalating crisis situations and providing trauma-informed client services.
• Experience coordinating with professionals and social service agencies.
• Intermediate computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and related software programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone-based or face-to-face comprehensive assessment interviews with low-income households.
• Provide on-site crisis intervention and make independent decisions based on client needs.
• Determine eligibility and initiate referrals for Rent Assistance, Utility Assistance, CARE Assessment, Community Connect, and Oregon Health Plan navigation.
• Allocate resources to households based on assessments and knowledge of local resources.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team from partner agencies (e.g., Providence, Family Justice Center).
• Provide services outside main office (schools, homes, community organizations) to promote access.
• Maintain real-time, accurate, confidential records in multiple databases.
• Understand eligibility requirements for Community Action and partner programs.
