Job summary

ADP, Inc. in New York is seeking a Housing Specialist to help clients in CHCF homeless shelters transition to permanent housing and to develop partnerships with government and community agencies.

You will identify housing options, maintain a resource database, and assist with housing applications. The role requires bilingual English and Spanish, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize housing and increase access to subsidized housing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field.
• One year of counseling experience and two years in housing development/management, real estate, or case management.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required; strong communication and advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in transitioning from shelter to permanent housing.
• Develop and maintain housing resources database.
• Identify eligible government housing subsidies and programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team to determine client needs and housing supports.
• Build relationships with brokers and landlords to secure housing options.
• Conduct weekly or biweekly meetings to review housing options and exit strategies.
• Prepare weekly housing status reports as required by DHS.
