Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field.
• 2+ years in housing assistance or case management with knowledge of NYC programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess shelter residents for CityFHEPS, SOTA, FHEPS A/B eligibility.
• Assist residents with housing applications and gather documentation.
• Guide residents through housing search, viewings, and landlord communications.
• Coordinate with landlords and property managers to secure placements.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in the system.
• Collaborate with case managers to create individualized housing plans.
• Provide follow-up support after housing placement to ensure stability.
• Stay updated on CityFHEPS, SOTA, and related programs.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Identify possible SOTA-eligible clients and assist with housing processes.
• Ensure placements meet SOTA requirements including income verification.
